• Our Story

An unassuming facade nestled quaintly across from the Willamette River, Cafe du Berry serves traditional French dishes that our customers know and love. Our signature house dishes are crafted by Head Chef and Owner Mike Andersen alongside his son and Co-owner, Marlon Ozo.

Mike Andersen and wife Lydia, opened Cafe du Berry together in March 1984. Drawing from his 35 year tenure in Portland’s SW Waterfront, Chef Andersen and his family aim to tell a story that reconnects guests with the warmth of home using intriguing menu offerings and abundant portions. Guests can taste everything from traditional brunch, casual lunch and fine dining dinner dishes. Come for the food, stay for the tradition. Love does have a flavor.
